3. What is online ethnicity and what are some of the way that it is formed? What do Poster and Zizeck say about virtual ethnicity? Does ethnicity really exist, or are all of our ethnicities "virtual"? What about online tribes? Can we say that users form tribes, or is that term inaccurate?

“…virtual and its formulation in relation to its apparent opposite, the real” (P.186). from that definition we can understand that virtual is any context that opposite of real world. For that reason online ethnicity is person ethnicity in CMC and ethnicity is related to culture and race. It can be created in several ways. First of all, people bring their real ethnicity to the CMC. Secondly, person can fake his ethnicity.
Zizeck consider that there are fascinating in the virtual identity. People just create symbols and try to communicate according to this symbols. For that reason our identity in the real world is nothing more than our imagination, which we created for our communication. According to the logic of Zizeck ethnicity do not really exist, because it only the part of our imagination, that successfully created a symbol, such as ethnicity.

As I understood from the reading using the term tribe is inaccurate in the sense, because tribe was urban and labor was divided. For me personally it was difficult to understand author’s point of view about definition of tribes itself, because every aspect that in non-tribe trait exist in tribes also. For example, division of labor. Moreover, author states that tribes must be unified, however as I know from history tribes are the same community as others. For that reason, in tribes (community) people nature do not change and they are not really united, betray usually take place there.
